Ringvane provides AI voice and chat agents that answer calls and messages for businesses. This page explains what that means for the people who talk to them.
1. You may be talking to an AI
When you call or chat with a business that uses Ringvane, the first response may come from an AI agent, not a person. Our agents introduce themselves as a virtual or AI assistant and will not claim to be human. You can ask to speak to a person or leave a message at any time.
2. Calls may be recorded and transcribed
Calls answered by our AI agents may be recorded and transcribed, and summaries may be created, so the business can follow up accurately, check quality and keep records. Where the law requires it, you will be told about recording at the start of the call. By continuing the call after that notice, you consent to the recording. If you do not want to be recorded, you can end the call and contact the business another way, for example by email.
3. What happens to the information
Recordings, transcripts and details you share are sent to the business you contacted and processed by Ringvane and our service providers on that business's behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy. Please do not share sensitive information such as card numbers, Social Security numbers or medical details with an AI agent.
4. Outbound calls and texts
Our AI agents answer incoming calls. They do not make outbound calls using an artificial or AI voice unless the person called has given the prior express consent required by law. Follow-up texts are only sent to people who contacted the business first or who agreed to receive them, and you can reply STOP at any time. See our SMS Terms.
5. Limits of AI
AI agents can make mistakes. They are not a substitute for emergency services, or for medical, legal or financial advice. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.
